SimSim App LLC — Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 14, 2026 · Last Updated: October 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how SimSim App LLC ("SimSim," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website at https://simsimtrack.com or use the SimSim mobile app (collectively, the "Service").

This Policy explains our information practices. Where consent is required, we ask for it separately; reading this Policy or using the Service does not by itself provide that consent.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service.

Account and authentication information

  • Your name, email address, profile details, business or store name, team membership, and authentication identifiers used to create, secure, and manage your account.

Inventory and product information

  • Product names, brands, categories, quantities, storage locations, expiry dates, lot or batch numbers, barcodes, notes, and inventory activity such as additions, edits, and removals.

Camera, product photos, and label images

  • If you allow access to your camera or photos, SimSim processes barcode images, product photos, and cropped label images to identify products and extract printed product names, expiry dates, and lot or batch numbers.
  • Do not include faces, identification documents, payment details, health information, or unrelated personal or confidential information in product photos.

AI processing

  • Product or cropped label images and related instructions may be sent to Google Gemini to identify products or extract printed product, expiry-date, and lot or batch information for the feature you request.
  • AI output may be inaccurate. Compare each detail extracted by AI with the printed product label before saving it or taking action.

Subscriptions, notifications, and shared product data

  • RevenueCat may process an app-user identifier, product or plan identifier, purchase and renewal dates, subscription status, entitlement status, receipt-validation information, and store source. Apple or Google processes the payment method.
  • Push-notification providers may process a device token, platform, notification preferences, and delivery status so SimSim can send expiry and account notifications.
  • Product barcodes and names are collected and added to the shared catalog when you scan or enter products after accepting the Terms. Photo contributions are optional. The explanation below distinguishes catalog data from private inventory and account information.
  • If you buy a plan on our website, such as Enterprise, Stripe collects and processes your name, email address, billing address, payment-card details, and transaction information to take payment, prevent fraud, and send receipts. SimSim receives only limited billing information, such as customer and subscription identifiers, plan, payment status, card brand, last four digits, and billing country. RevenueCat may also process the subscription status of these purchases.

Website and support information

  • Cloudflare processes connection and technical information to deliver and protect the website. Microsoft Clarity processes website-use information to help us understand visits and identify usability problems, as explained in Section 10.
  • When you contact us, we process your email address, message, and any troubleshooting information you provide.

We do not collect or store full payment-card numbers, bank credentials, or Apple or Google passwords.

Product photos and the shared product catalog

After you accept the Terms and use SimSim to scan or enter products, SimSim collects the product barcode and product name and adds them to its shared product catalog. This also applies to products entered manually without a photo. You and other SimSim users can use these records to fill in product details when scanning the same barcode, reducing repeated manual entry. A matching barcode does not guarantee that the returned record is correct.

Sharing a product photo is a separate, optional choice. Before you agree and choose a photo, the app explains that the photo and accompanying basic product details will be added to the shared catalog. You can select “Not now” and enter the product without a photo. Declining a photo upload does not stop the barcode and product name from being added to the catalog. Camera or photo-library permission is not itself permission to share a photo. Acceptance of the Terms does not replace separate consent where privacy law requires it.

Your inventory quantities, custom categories, storage locations, expiry dates, lot or batch numbers, notes, store name, store location, and account details are private and are not shared with other stores through the product catalog. Your name, email address, and login credentials are not displayed with catalog records. Authorized members of your own store can access store data according to the access you give them. Processing by service providers and legally required disclosures are described separately in the Privacy Policy.

The store owner or authorized administrator chooses which employees to invite and can remove their access through the app. Share access only with people you trust, review their access regularly, and remove it when no longer needed. Removing an employee does not reverse their earlier edits or deletions, or retrieve copies they already lawfully obtained. For Google or Apple sign-in, the sign-in provider handles your password; SimSim does not receive your Google or Apple password. Account identifiers and authentication tokens may still be processed to provide secure access, as described in the Privacy Policy.

If you choose to upload a product photo, use a clear, accurate image of the actual product and check that its name and official barcode on the packaging match. Share only images you own or are entitled to use. Do not upload nudity, sexual content, unrelated or misleading images, or unlawful material. Do not include people, receipts, addresses, identification documents, health or financial information, or confidential store information. Check the image and embedded metadata for private information, including location and private batch or inventory details.

We may process the submitting account or store identifier, upload information, and related technical records internally to manage contributions, correct errors, investigate reports, and prevent abuse. These records are not part of the product details shown to other stores. We may review, correct, combine, reject, restrict, or remove catalog submissions.

For Business-plan product-photo suggestions, Google Gemini analyzes the submitted photo and related product information to suggest a product name and details. AI can make mistakes. Verify the product name, barcode, and every suggested detail against the physical product, and correct any errors before adding an item to your inventory. Also check any AI-read expiry date or lot or batch number; those private inventory fields are not shared catalog fields.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use each category of information for the following purposes:

  • Create and authenticate accounts, manage teams and permissions, and keep accounts secure.
  • Store, synchronize, search, import, export, and organize inventory across authorized devices and team members.
  • Identify products, read printed labels with AI, save expiry dates and lot or batch numbers, and improve product matching.
  • Calculate expiry status and send requested alerts and push notifications.
  • Confirm Free, Pro, or Business access and restore purchases without receiving your full payment details.
  • Operate and protect the shared product database, review community submissions, and remove prohibited or inaccurate content.
  • Provide support, investigate problems, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and maintain the reliability and security of the Service.
  • Operate, secure, and understand use of the public website through Cloudflare and Microsoft Clarity.
  • Process plans purchased on our website through Stripe, manage renewals, free trials, cancellations, and refunds, and send billing receipts and notices.

We do not sell personal information.

3. Data Storage and Security

SimSim uses Supabase for authentication, database, and storage services. Supabase may process account identifiers, profiles, inventory records, team data, product images, and community submissions on our behalf. Data may also be processed on your device and by the providers described below.

  • We use encryption in transit, access controls, and other reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information.
  • Access to private account and inventory information is limited to authorized users, team members you invite, and personnel or providers who need it to operate or support the Service.
  • No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Keeping your account safe

  • Use a strong, unique password that you do not use on other sites, and never share it or your verification codes with anyone.
  • Turn on multi-factor authentication (MFA, also called two-step verification) wherever it is available, including on the email, Apple, or Google account you use to sign in.
  • Do not click links or open attachments in messages you did not expect or cannot verify. Official SimSim messages come only from addresses ending in @simsimtrack.com and link only to simsimtrack.com, the Apple App Store, Google Play, or Stripe checkout pages.

SimSim will never contact you to ask for payment by cryptocurrency, gift cards, wire or money transfer, or any other unofficial method, and we will never ask for your password or verification codes. Pay only through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or the official Stripe checkout opened from simsimtrack.com. If you receive a suspicious request that claims to be from SimSim, do not respond or pay, and report it to info@simsimtrack.com.

4. Service Providers and Data Sharing

We disclose information only as needed to provide the Service, comply with law, protect users and the Service, complete a business transfer, or follow your instructions or act with your consent.

  • Supabase: authentication, database, file storage, synchronization, and backend processing.
  • Google Gemini: processing product or cropped label images and related instructions for product suggestions and label extraction.
  • RevenueCat: subscription entitlement, purchase-status, receipt-validation, and Restore Purchases processing.
  • Stripe: payment processing, billing, receipts, fraud prevention, and subscription management for plans purchased on our website. Stripe uses payment information under its own privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
  • Apple App Store and Google Play: purchases, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds under the applicable store account and policies.
  • Push-notification services operated by Apple, Google, or Firebase: device-token registration and delivery of requested notifications.
  • Cloudflare: website hosting, delivery, and security. Microsoft Clarity: website interaction measurement.
  • Third-party and community product databases, including Open Food Facts: product and barcode lookup and shared product information.

AI retention and model training

SimSim uses the paid Google Gemini API. Under the applicable paid-service terms, Google does not use submitted prompts, images or responses to improve its products or train its models. Google may retain limited records for abuse prevention, safety and legal requirements and may process or temporarily cache data in countries where it or its service providers operate. This is not a promise of zero retention. Do not submit personal, sensitive or confidential material to AI processing. Google Gemini API terms and data-use information.

We require service providers that process personal information for us to use appropriate safeguards and provide the same or an equivalent level of protection required by this Policy and applicable law.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Account, authentication, inventory, team, and saved product-photo data are kept while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we remove associated data from active systems, subject to limited legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, and backup obligations.
  • Cropped images sent for AI extraction are kept by SimSim only when needed to complete processing, investigate an issue you report, prevent abuse, or when you separately save or share the image. AI providers may retain copies according to their service tier, configuration, and terms described above.
  • Deleting a private inventory item or your account does not automatically remove a previously contributed non-personal product record from the shared catalog. A useful catalog photo or record may remain while needed for product matching, correction, and catalog operation. Personal information associated with contributions remains subject to applicable retention limits and deletion rights; a contribution license does not override those rights. Limited records may be retained where lawfully needed for security, legal obligations, disputes, or backups.
  • Push-notification tokens are kept until they become invalid, you disable notifications or sign out, or the account is deleted.
  • Subscription and purchase-status records are kept while needed to provide paid access, restore purchases, resolve billing issues, and meet tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal requirements.
  • Support communications and security logs are kept as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, protect the Service, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Backups are retained until overwritten or deleted under our providers' backup schedules.

Delete your SimSim account

To delete your SimSim account and associated personal data, use Delete Account in the app’s account settings and confirm. You can also request deletion without reinstalling or signing into the app by emailing info@simsimtrack.com with the subject “SimSim account deletion” from your account email where possible. We may request only the information reasonably needed to verify your identity; never send a password. We will explain any necessary steps and respond within applicable legal deadlines. Account deletion cannot be undone. Limited lawful retention and non-personal catalog records are explained above. Deleting the account or app does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription; manage cancellation separately in that store. Subscription cancellation is not a condition for requesting account deletion.

6. Your Choices, Consent, and Rights

  • You may decline photo sharing and use manual product entry without uploading a photo. You can manage camera, photo, and notification permissions in device settings. To withdraw consent for future optional sharing or request correction or removal of an existing contribution, contact us. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing; deletion requests are assessed under applicable law.
  • Withdrawing consent for optional photo sharing does not by itself close your account or prevent manual product entry. We may still process information on another lawful basis where necessary to provide the Service or meet legal obligations.
  • Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability, and may complain to a data-protection authority.
  • You can report an inappropriate product image using the report option in the app. We review reports and make reasonable efforts to remove or restrict content that violates these rules as soon as practicable; removal is not guaranteed within a fixed time. To report an incorrect, private, inappropriate, or infringing contribution, or request correction or removal, you can also email info@simsimtrack.com with the barcode, product name, the content concerned, and the reason. We may request information reasonably needed to verify the report and will comply with applicable legal deadlines. We can correct or remove product records and images stored in SimSim’s own catalog. We cannot edit or delete records in independently operated third-party databases such as Open Food Facts. Removing our copy does not remove the original from those sources. This limitation does not remove our responsibility for how we use or display that content.

Send privacy, consent, access, correction, or deletion requests to info@simsimtrack.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

Where the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to SimSim and your information, you may request information about collection, use and disclosure, access to specific personal information, correction and deletion, subject to lawful exceptions. You may also exercise applicable rights to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and act through an authorized agent. We do not sell personal information. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. Contact info@simsimtrack.com; we may reasonably verify your identity or an agent’s authority before completing a request.

8. GDPR (EEA Users)

Where the GDPR or a similar law applies, we process personal information on the appropriate legal basis for each purpose: performance of a contract for necessary account, inventory and subscription services; legal obligations for required records and lawful requests; and legitimate interests for proportionate security, fraud prevention and service maintenance, only where those interests are not overridden by your rights. We rely on consent for optional processing where required, including relevant photo sharing or analytics. Agreement to the Terms does not itself provide consent for every use of personal information.

Subject to applicable law and its conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact info@simsimtrack.com to exercise these rights or ask which legal basis applies to a particular use.

9. Children's Privacy

SimSim is intended for users aged 18 or older, as stated in the Terms. The app is not directed to children or teenagers, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information through the app. If you believe a person under 18 has provided personal information to SimSim, contact info@simsimtrack.com so we can investigate and take appropriate steps, including deletion where required by law.

10. Cookies and Website Analytics

The website uses necessary storage for site preferences and uses Microsoft Clarity for website analytics. The Clarity tag loads automatically in the background, unless a previous analytics rejection is stored in this browser or Global Privacy Control is enabled. Clarity processes pages visited, clicks, taps and scrolling, together with browser, device and network information. Heatmaps and session replays help us understand how the site is used and identify problems. Cookies and similar identifiers depend on applicable consent, browser restrictions and Clarity settings; reporting may be limited without cookie consent. Microsoft processes this information under its Privacy Statement.

This website does not display a custom analytics consent popup or an accept/reject panel. Loading the website is not treated as an affirmative consent signal. Browser privacy settings and tracking blockers can restrict analytics; an earlier rejection saved by this website remains respected in that browser. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@simsimtrack.com. Website analytics is separate from permissions and product-photo choices inside the app.

Microsoft Privacy Statement.

11. Beta Disclaimer

SimSim is under active development. Features and data handling may change.

12. Changes to This Policy

We will update this Policy if these practices change and provide additional notice or seek consent where required before materially changing the collection, sharing, or AI use of product photos or personal information.
